Joe Sullivan Music

Joe Sullivan is a fingerstyle guitarist, composer and performer based in Minneapolis/Saint Paul, Minnesota.

With a diverse musical history that incorporates classical guitar, American and British pop/rock, and jazz influences, Joe plays with rhythmic energy that reflects his belief in the goodness of humanity, his awe of nature, and the inherent beauty and power of music.

Joe was one of three guitarists who collaborated to create the spacious ‘wall of sound’ guitar presence prominently featured on the Tom Conry recording, The Fire Within the Night.

In 2024, Joe has shifted his focus to present an increasing number of composed instrumental soundscapes that evoke shifting perspectives — with a variety of musical presentations representing differing senses of time, space, moods and moments.

His newest project is an intimate collaboration between guitar and cello, re-imagining Christmas classics and bringing forth lesser-known celebrations of the holiday season. Holiday Hope: A Christmas Collection releases on Spotify on November 1, 2025.
